Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a senior Lead Web Developer, WordPress, for fully remote work across the US, Canada, Latin America or South Africa. You will scope client projects, lead WordPress builds, and drive AI-enabled development, while maintaining direct client communication and delivering fast, clean custom sites.

You’ll be the development voice for clients, review code, and ensure health of client sites, with a focus on quality, performance, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong custom WordPress and PHP, plus modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• The ability to scope work and tie it to a client's business goals.
• Real fluency using AI to drive development efficiency.
• Client-facing communication and excellent English.
• Experience leading or owning builds, not just closing tickets.

Responsibilities
