Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks a senior Lead WordPress Developer to own custom WordPress builds end to end for US clients. You will scope projects, align with business goals, and be the main development voice for clients while writing and reviewing real code.

This remote, client-facing role requires excellent English and the ability to drive efficiencies with AI across the development process, leading themes, templates, plugins, and blocks.

Qualifications

• Strong custom WordPress and PHP, plus modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to scope work to a client's business goals.
• Fluent English and excellent client communication.
• Experience leading or owning builds, not just closing tickets.

Responsibilities

• Scope client work against business objectives and set the build approach.
• Lead custom WordPress builds: themes, templates, plugins and blocks.
• Drive efficiency with AI across the development process.
• Be the development voice the client hears, and keep their sites healthy.
