Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a senior Lead WordPress Developer to own custom WordPress builds from scoping to delivery. You will be the client-facing face of development, translating business goals into fast, clean code and robust plugins, themes, and blocks.

This remote role requires excellent English, experience leading builds, and the ability to drive efficiencies with AI while keeping sites healthy for clients across the US, Canada, Latin America, and South Africa.

Qualifications

• Strong custom WordPress and PHP, plus modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• The ability to scope work and tie it to a client's business goals.
• Real fluency using AI to drive development efficiency.
• Client-facing communication and excellent English.
• Experience leading or owning builds, not just closing tickets.
