Job summary

Atrium in New York is seeking an experienced Women's Technical Designer – Knits & Sweaters to lead technical packages, fittings, and vendor coordination for knitwear and sweaters. You will ensure fit, construction, and quality across development stages.

The role requires 5+ years in apparel tech design, deep knowledge of knits and sweaters, tech packs, Excel and PLM proficiency, and strong collaboration with Design, Production, and vendors in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with strong technical design background in apparel.
• Experience creating tech packs and conducting fittings.
• Proficient in garment construction, measurements, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain complete technical packages for women's sweaters and knits.
• Conduct fit sessions and provide detailed comments for sample corrections.
• Measure and evaluate samples for fit, construction, quality, and adherence to specs.
• Collaborate with design and production to resolve technical issues.
• Communicate with vendors daily on garment specifications and sample development.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout development.
