Tuckernuck in New York, NY seeks a Senior Technical Designer, Sweaters to translate seasonal concepts into production-ready garments with impeccable fit and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate has deep knitwear expertise, knowledge of yarn behavior, and strong collaboration with design, product development, and global vendors.

You will lead fit sessions and own tech packs to ensure premium sweaters across the assortment.

Formación

• 7+ years of technical design experience with sweaters/knitwear.
• Advanced knitwear knowledge of construction, stitch types, yarn behavior.
• Strong pattern making, grading, and fit for sweaters.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, PLM, and technical flat sketching.
• Excellent attention to detail and vendor communication.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret seasonal sweater design concepts into technically sound specs.
• Lead sweater fit sessions with precise comments and vendor guidance.
• Own and maintain sweater tech packs with stitch/gauge details and graded measurements.
• Collaborate with factories to troubleshoot knit construction issues and improve fit.
• Assess wear test results and integrate improvements into future designs.
• Maintain silhouette, yarn quality, stitch execution, and fit consistency across styles.
• Onboard new sweater vendors and communicate clearly throughout development and production.
