Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is assisting a fashion-forward apparel client in New York City with hiring a Women's Technical Designer for Knits & Sweaters. The role focuses on managing tech packs, fittings, and collaboration with Design, Production, and vendors to ensure fit, construction, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical design within apparel, strong expertise in sweaters/knits, and proficiency in Excel and PLM systems.

Qualifications

5+ years of technical design experience in apparel or fashion.
Strong expertise in women's sweaters, knits, or both.
Experience creating complete tech packs and garment fittings.
Proficient in Excel and PLM systems.
Solid knowledge of garment construction, measurements, fit and quality.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain complete technical packages for women's sweaters and knitwear.
Conduct fit sessions and provide clear comments for sample corrections.
Measure and evaluate samples for fit, construction, quality and specs.
Collaborate with Design and Production to resolve technical issues.
Communicate with vendors daily regarding specifications, fit and samples.
Ensure garments meet brand specs, quality and safety standards.
Maintain accurate technical documentation throughout development.
