Job summary

OP is seeking a Senior WMS Business Systems Analyst to own the functional side of our warehouse management platform across our distribution network. Sit between warehouse operations and engineering to capture real-world floor processes, translate them into requirements, and drive stable WMS configurations and integrations.

You will lead workshops with DC supervisors, validate ERP/TMS/MHE/WCS integrations, and own UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Qualifications

8+ years in IT business analysis, application support, or systems consulting with 5+ years hands-on WMS experience.
Ownership of WMS configuration across inbound, inventory, outbound, and shipping.
Strong DC operations knowledge: receiving, putaway, replenishment, wave planning, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, returns.
Proven experience with WMS integrations to ERP, TMS/parcel, MHE/WCS, and 3PL systems, including data mapping and message-level troubleshooting.
Excellent BA craft: BRDs, functional specs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, gap analyses, and traceability.
SQL proficiency for in-dispatch queries and data investigation.
Hands-on experience with UAT, cutover planning, go-live support, and post-go-live hypercare.
L2/L3 production support experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).
Willingness to support critical incidents, releases, and peak periods outside standard hours.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Discover how work happens: run workshops and floor walks with warehouse staff to capture current-state processes and pain points.
Document with rigor: BRDs, SOPs, functional specs, user stories with acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and gaps for engineering and vendors.
Own gap analysis: quantify operational impact and drive sign-off on recommended changes.
Partner with the WMS vendor on defects, changes, and vendor-delivered modifications; participate in design reviews.
Translate business rules into system behavior; validate that builds match specifications.
Lead functional integration design across ERP, TMS, MHE/WCS, and 3PL systems; define data mappings and messaging.
Drive end-to-end integration testing across WMS, middleware, and upstream/downstream systems.
Own test strategy and UAT; author scripts, coordinate testers, triage defects, and sign-off.
Plan cutover data migration validation, dry runs, readiness checks, and contingency planning.
Support go-live and hypercare on the floor or on-call; hand over to support teams.
Act as senior escalation for L2/L3 WMS incidents; perform root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Analyze incident patterns to drive permanent fixes and reduce recurring issues.
Support peak readiness: capacity validation, runbooks, and escalation paths ahead of high-volume periods.
Participate in OP monthly team meetings and contribute to technical discussions and OP Wiki content.
