Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems (DCS) seeks a Senior Software Systems Analyst to own the software scope and translate what we sell into what we build. You will collaborate with Solutions Software, craft Level 2 SDS, and attach firm estimates to proposals, then shepherd the definition through delivery and daily development coordination.

You will lead design workshops, author integration specs for DATUM subsystems, and drive IT/network requirements, while traveling up to 50% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software development, systems analysis, or technical project delivery for WES/WCS, WMS, or industrial software.
• Experience writing design specs or integration documents defendable in customer meetings.
• Strong understanding of material handling automation and WMS/ERP vs. PLC-level controls.
• Hands-on experience specifying integrations (REST/APIs, messaging, EDI) and working with external systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Level 2 SDS expanding Level 1 SDS and attach to customer proposal.
• Build firm estimates from ROM numbers into hours, deliverables and assumptions.
• Collaborate with Solutions Software team to ensure scope sold matches delivered.
• Lead design workshops with customers and stakeholders; participate in project Scrum ceremonies.
• Create and maintain IT, network, and integration specifications for DATUM and controls.
• Draft 3rd-party and WMS/ERP integration specifications and data mappings.
• Travel to customer sites up to 50% for discovery, design reviews, and commissioning support.
