Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Wireline Telecom Construction Manager to oversee all phases of utility construction for telecom projects. You will lead a team of construction professionals in a safety-minded environment, delivering high-quality work on schedule and within budget.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of management experience in telecom construction, a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of telecom construction project management experience.
• Knowledge of coax/fiber splicing and directional drilling.
• Experience with budgeting and subcontractor oversight.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Project; quick to learn software.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service for escalated issues.
• Direct multiple crews and job-site activities.
• Review schedules against deadlines.
• Manage projects to completion on time and budget.
• Schedule crews and supervise performance.
• Participate in hiring and employment paperwork.
• Promote safe work environment.
• Prepare drawings, maps, blueprints, and specs.
• Identify and resolve blueprint issues.
• Oversee subcontractors and billable work.
• Participate in meetings with management and customers.
• Assist in estimating and bidding; change orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
