Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Principal R&D Engineer to oversee the planning, design, implementation, prototyping, and verification of wireless technology projects.

Based at Silvus’ West Los Angeles, CA HQ, the role offers a hybrid schedule with at least three onsite days weekly to collaborate with the team and drive full development cycles from design to field testing.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field (wireless comms, RF, etc.).
• 10+ years designing wireless systems.
• 5+ years in technical project leadership (PI/PM).
• Complete technology development cycle: design to field testing.
• U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for R&D projects and programs.
• Collaborate with senior R&D team on wireless technology development.
• Oversee planning, design, prototyping, and verification of projects.
• Travel infrequent for customer interactions and demonstrations.
