Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Principal FPGA/RTL Design Engineer in West Los Angeles. The role reports to the Director of FPGA Engineering and involves from concept to field deployment, focusing on efficient RTL and FPGA designs for our MIMO wireless systems.

The position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in West Los Angeles and follows a hybrid schedule with at least 3 onsite days weekly (Mon, Wed, Thu).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of RTL design and FPGA implementation experience; or 8+ with MS; or 6+ with PhD.
• Experience with fixed-point arithmetic and digital signal processing designs.
• Proven expertise with multiple clock-domain, high-utilization FPGA designs.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs, and the Vivado IDE.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to U.S. federal contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon successfully clearing a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Digital design architecting for wireless projects.
• RTL coding, simulation, and test bench development.
• FPGA synthesis, timing closure, and hardware verification.
• Provide support to RF and Software Engineering teams.
