Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to install and support wireless communications systems for public safety and enterprise customers. You will create programming codeplugs, install complex radio systems, and provide design recommendations to meet customer needs.

The role requires 5+ years of service tech experience, strong RF theory knowledge, and proficiency with test equipment. Some regional travel and on-call hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment.
• Strong understanding of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Experience interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Proficient with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Install and service complex wireless communication systems including radio and CCTV equipment.
• Create high-level program plugs and configurations (P25, CAP+, Linked Capacity+).
• Provide system recommendations and designs to meet customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight as needed and support on-call hours.
