Flagstar Bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Operations Wire Control Specialist in Hicksville, NY. You will review, approve, and release wire transactions with strict adherence to procedures, approvals, and regulatory requirements.

In this role, you monitor queues, resolve pending approvals, and perform independent callback verifications as needed to maintain controls and ensure timely processing of wires across teams including BSA/AML, Relationship Management, and Compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ years of experience in a large commercial bank or related financial institution handling commercial loan transactions.
• Experience with fraud-prevention controls and risk management practices.

Responsabilités

• Review wire transactions for completeness, accuracy, and required approvals.
• Confirm wire instructions align with loan documents, funding authorization, and servicing requests.
• Approve wires within authority and per dual-control requirements.
• Monitor wire queues to ensure timely release within SLAs.
• Follow up with initiators, approvers, and related teams on pending wires.
• Escalate delayed, unusual, or high-risk transactions to management or control functions.
• Perform independent callback verification when required and document outcomes.
• Record callback results and approvals per retention requirements.
• Identify discrepancies or fraud indicators and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain segregation of duties across initiation, verification, and approval activities.
• Support daily reconciliation and confirmation of wire statuses.
• Track delays and recurring issues for reporting and process improvement.
• Assist with procedure development, training, audits, and remediation in wire operations.
