The Specialist will actively monitor pending wires, follow up with appropriate parties to resolve outstanding approvals or documentation, and elevate transactions at risk of missing established processing deadlines. • Proactively follow up with wire initiators, approvers, wire/BSA/AML teams, relationship partners, or other responsible parties when a transaction remains pending.
  • Escalate delayed, incomplete, unusual, or high‑risk transactions to the appropriate management or control function.
  • Perform independent callback verification when required, including situations where the standard callback process has not been completed or a transaction‑specific gap has been identified.
  • Validate callback information using an approved and independently verified source; do not rely solely on contact information contained in the wire request.
  • Document callback results, approvals, follow‑up efforts, exceptions, and escalations in accordance with record‑retention requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies, potential fraud indicators, unusual transaction activity, or deviations from established wire procedures and escalates them promptly.
  • Maintain segregation of duties and ensure the same individual does not perform incompatible initiation, verification, and approval activities.
  • Support daily reconciliation and confirmation that all approved wires have been released, rejected, canceled, or appropriately carried forward.
  • Track processing delays, exceptions, callback gaps, and recurring issues to support management reporting and process improvement.
  • Assist with procedure development, training, quality reviews, audit requests, control testing, and remediation activities related to commercial loan wires.
  • Partner with Commercial Loan Operations, Wire Operations, BSA/AML Operations, Relationship Management, Closing, Servicing, Compliance, Fraud, and other stakeholders to resolve transaction issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of wire procedures, approval authorities, processing deadlines, fraud‑prevention practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
