Job summary

Wide Open West is seeking an Engineer III for Windows and Virtualization Infrastructure to help design, implement, and support compute, storage, and virtualization across multiple datacenters. You will work hands-on with Windows Server, AD, and storage technologies while focusing on reliability, scalability, and future readiness.

You will collaborate with NOC, security, and networking teams, mentor peers, and contribute to future technology directions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
• 6+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on experience supporting enterprise Windows Server and virtualization platforms.
• Expertise with Windows Server operating systems.
• Expertise and understanding of Active Directory administration and architecture.
• Experience with and understanding of VDI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage compute, storage, and software across datacenter environments.
• Design, implement, configure, and maintain systems and integrations serving customer and business needs.
• Maintain and manage virtualization clusters with capacity planning.
• Assist in monitoring solutions and their notifications and recovery actions.
• Collaborate with networking and security teams to deliver solutions for internal business units and end customers.
