Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Windows Sensor Engineer to design and implement detection technologies on the Falcon Sensor, across Windows OS versions, with a strong emphasis on low‑level programming in C/C++.

You will research detection techniques, extend sensor capabilities with C++, Python, and DSLs, and own features from design to production release while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing and delivering high‑quality Windows software in C/C++ or other low‑level languages.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in reverse engineering, threat detection, malware analysis, or related security topics.
• Low‑level OS knowledge of Windows internals, components, APIs, and design.
• Team player – able to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a globally distributed team.
• Proven experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision‑making, streamline workflows and drive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and build detection logic leveraged across teams to detect cyber attackers and stop breaches.
• Research techniques for detecting malicious activity, including reverse engineering and big‑data analysis.
• Leverage C++, Python, and domain‑specific languages to extend Falcon Sensor capabilities.
• Develop robust, production‑level features from design to delivery with secure coding and testing practices.
• Own features end‑to‑end, collaborating across teams and mentoring others as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues in the product and assist customer support when required.
