Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Windows Desktop Software Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of our Windows desktop applications. You will ensure performance, reliability, and accessibility across Windows 10/11+ while collaborating with product, UX, and QA to shape the long-term roadmap.

You will own features end-to-end, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions to deliver polished, accessible experiences for millions of users.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app development using WinUI, C#, and XAML.
• Experience with native Windows interop (C++/Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Strong knowledge of UI architecture, performance, and accessibility.
• Proven ability to design, build, and ship production desktop apps.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading design decisions.
• Excellent communication and user-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of Windows desktop apps.
• Define best practices for cross-version Windows compatibility.
• Drive accessibility efforts and ensure screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product, UX, QA to shape roadmap.
• Own features end-to-end from conception to release.
• Diagnose complex bugs and optimize performance.
