Job summary

Ingles Markets, Inc. is seeking a Senior Windows Administrator to maintain and optimize Windows-based servers across our enterprise environment. You will leverage expertise in VMware Horizon and AD to design, deploy, and support a scalable, secure infrastructure.

This is a hybrid role requiring in-person office visits in Black Mountain, NC, near Asheville. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience, strong scripting with PowerShell, and a proven ability to automate processes while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Windows Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Deep expertise in VMware Horizon, vCenter, and related technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management.
• Experience with process automation using scripting languages (PowerShell).
• Strong communication and documentation skills; able to work with cross-functional teams.
• Must reside in AL, GA, NC, SC, TN or VA and attend in-person office visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the stability, security, and scalability of Windows-based systems, both physical and virtual.
• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot VMware Horizon-based VDI solutions for performance and scalability.
• Research, design, and implement automation strategies using PowerShell to improve installation, monitoring, and config management.
• Administer Active Directory and Group Policy, including security policy design and access management.
• Install and configure servers and hardware per project requirements.
• Perform regular system health checks and verify hardware integrity and server resources.
• Provide tier-2 technical support and handle escalations.
• Document installation and configuration procedures for repeatability.
