Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Fleet Systems Engineer to drive wind turbine system integration and optimization throughout product development, from requirements to life-cycle support. You will lead technical programs, own system requirements, and manage DFMEA while coordinating across subsystems and external partners.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in engineering, with 3+ years in wind turbine projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects.
• Ability to break-down complex issues and enable effective decision making.
• System or product-level mindset and trade-off experience.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, including requirements definition, design and development, validation, and product life-cycle support.
• Lead technical program teams on system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on reducing landed cost of electricity.
• Own turbine-level requirements and contribute to subsystem requirements in Design Memos.
• Own and drive risk management for the technical program team including Systems DFMEA.
• Contribute to multi-generation system and technology plans with subsystems coordination.
• Contribute to and approve customer facing technical documents.
• Communicate and present technical material to internal and external audiences.
• Drive standardization of engineering analysis, validation, and design execution.
• Contribute to new and existing design practices.
