Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an experienced wind turbine systems engineer in the United States to own turbine-level requirements, manage technical programs, and drive risk and design decisions across the product life cycle.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in engineering with 3+ years in wind turbine system projects; relocation support is provided. Salary ranges are disclosed and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, including requirements definition, design and development, validation, and product life-cycle support.
• Lead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of landed cost of electricity.
• Own turbine-level requirements in the form of Systems Design Memos; contribute and approve subsystem requirements in Design Memos.
• Own and drive risk management for technical program team including ownership of the Systems DFMEA.
• Contribute to multi-generation system and technology plans in coordination with all subsystems, including design platforming strategies.
• Contribute to and approve customer facing technical documents.
• Communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences.
• Drive simplification and standardization of best practices into engineering analysis, validation, and design execution.
• Contribute to new and existing design practices.
