Deriva Energy, a Brookfield Renewable portfolio company, seeks a Senior Renewables Technologist to lead turbine drivetrain troubleshooting and repairs across a nationwide fleet. You will guide expert maintenance on gearboxes, generators, bearings, and drivetrains and drive reliability programs with minimal supervision.

This role demands advanced diagnostic skills, strong leadership, and the ability to work independently in diverse sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant experience with wind energy systems or related fields.
• Experience leading major component exchanges and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical failures.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and mentor technicians.

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 50% across the United States to wind farm sites.
• Lead SME for gearbox, generator, and drivetrain troubleshooting and repairs.
• Oversee major component exchanges and reliability improvement projects.
• Develop corrective action plans from inspection findings to boost fleet reliability.
• Perform diagnostics using vibration, oil analysis, borescope, and thermography.
