Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Senior PGD Engineer to own reliability for wind turbine rotating electrical machines across the fleet, lead RCA investigations, and drive data-driven performance improvements to reduce failures and O&M costs.

Requires 4+ years in generators/motors, strong knowledge of electrical machine theory, RCA, and ability to translate findings into actionable business recommendations; travel ~20% and willingness to climb wind turbines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience with generators, motors, or rotating electrical machines.
• Strong knowledge of electrical machine theory and dynamics.
• Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode identification.
• Ability to develop repair procedures, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Data-driven mindset with analysis of failure data and fleet trends.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
