Job summary

GE Vernova Inc. is seeking a Senior Wind Hub Technician to travel within the Texas Hub and support turbine operations at multiple wind sites.

You will perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, interpret schematics, and ensure safety and quality standards daily. The role requires 4+ years wind trouble-shooting experience (or 6+ with alternate routes) and relevant education; you may work at various hub sites and report to the manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of wind trouble-shooting experience, and at least 1 year in EHS, SQC, or lead role.
• Minimum of 6 years of wind trouble-shooting experience, or
• Minimum of 3 years of wind trouble-shooting experience AND Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Work with site/hub leadership to execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and activities on a daily basis, including electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbines.
• Apply extensive understanding of variable pitch & speed turbines and converter parts.
• Read, understand and explain schematics, drawings, manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety processes and regulations and all compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Assist in site operations as directed by manager with minimal supervision and safety.
• Perform diagnostic analysis and generate plans for timely resolution.
• Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with GE's remote operations center when necessary.
• Assist and mentor peers in site operations.
