Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Senior Wind Hub Technician to operate across multiple wind sites in the Hub IL3. Expect heavy travel, hands-on turbine maintenance, safety compliance, and coordination with site leaders to meet contract requirements.

You will diagnose, repair, and optimize wind turbine systems, mentor peers, and communicate with the remote operations center to ensure timely resolutions and high reliability. This role demands strong mechanical, electrical, and safety skills.

Qualifications

• Wind troubleshooting experience at least 4 years (or 5 years with lead/EHS).
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment is required.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute contractual obligations per customer requirements and daily activities on site.
• Support site operations with supervision, including daily schedules and planning.
• Apply understanding of variable pitch & speed turbines and converter parts.
• Read and explain schematics, drawings, manuals, procedures and regulations.
• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety processes and compliance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Document work using service reporting software and systems.
• Collaborate with GE remote operations center as needed.
• Mentor peers and assist in all areas of site operations.
