Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Senior Burn Crew Member to lead a small fire management team and participate in prescribed fire operations. You will manage shared housing, ensure safety, and advance professional fire certifications while coordinating with partners.

Position involves fireline leadership, equipment maintenance, and cross‑agency collaboration. Housing is provided in Georgia; legal driving and fitness tests apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and firefighting training or experience.
• FFT2 certification or equivalent wildfire qualifications.
• Basic first aid and CPR training as noted in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work within a high-stress fire crew environment.
• Convey work instructions to subordinates and supervise under Burn Boss.
• Perform land management duties when not actively fire-related.
• Maintain fitness and safety standards; document work activities.
• Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
