Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of business strategy.
• Advanced underwriting concepts including risk selection, exposure and hazard identification and control, coverage implications, and loss analysis.
• Pricing components and rating methodology; correlates pricing to exposure, financials and competitiveness.
• Identify gaps in coverages and explain coverages, exposures, and controls to agents.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and grow profitable E&O business sourced through wholesale distribution partners.
• Cultivate relationships with wholesale brokers and distribution partners to drive profitable new business.
• Provide underwriting guidance and market intelligence to wholesale partners.
• Review portfolio metrics to identify growth areas and optimize distribution strategies.
• Manage an assigned E&O portfolio to achieve GWP, profitability, retention and growth.
• Collaborate with internal partners to drive portfolio improvement within wholesale relationships.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities with other lines to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Present to wholesale organizations and broker teams to increase brand awareness and opportunities.
