Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator for our assisted living neighborhood in Michigan. You will plan and implement wellness-focused programs and events that deliver an ASE—Act’s Signature Experience—incorporating body, mind, and spirit.

You will work to ensure meaningful engagement for residents across cognitive and functional levels, guided by the Engaged Living Philosophy and Montessori-inspired approaches to resident empowerment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in recreation therapy, creative arts, and/or human services related field is required
• Minimum of three years' experience working with older adults
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment)
• Current or eligible for certification in CPR

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement programs and events providing residents an Acts Signature Experience (ASE) incorporating wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality
• Ensure residents with differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement per Acts Engaged Living Philosophy
• Develop programs informed by Montessori principles of resident empowerment and engagement and based on personal history and My Story
