Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant in our skilled nursing neighborhood. You will assist the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events that provide residents with Acts Signature Experience (ASE), incorporating wellness, person-centered living, and hospitality.

The role focuses on meaningful engagement across cognitive levels, informed by Montessori principles and resident personal history to enhance overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of activities/recreation experience
• Dementia engagement certification (or willing to obtain within one year of employment)
• Current or eligible for certification in CPR

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing programs and events providing residents with ASE experiences.
• Ensure residents of differing cognitive and functional levels have opportunities for meaningful engagement aligned with Acts engagement philosophy.
