Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant to join our skilled nursing neighborhood. You will assist the Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and delivering programs that promote wellness, mind, body and spirit, aligned with our ASE philosophy.

Residents of varying cognitive and functional levels will have meaningful engagement opportunities rooted in Montessori principles and personal history (My Story).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year activities/recreation experience.
• Dementia engagement certification or willingness to obtain within one year.
• Current or eligible for CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Engagement Coordinator in planning and implementing ASE programs and events.
• Provide residents with experiences that balance body, mind and spirit.
• Ensure engagement opportunities for residents with varying cognitive and functional levels.
• Apply Montessori principles and My Story preferences to activities.
