Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Healthy Aging Specialist to provide statewide leadership for wellness programs funded by the Older Americans Act. You will oversee Title III-D initiatives, develop standards, monitor performance, and collaborate with aging agencies and partners.

• Experience applying aging programs for adults with disabilities.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to inform policy decisions.
• Proven track record performing compliance and quality assurance evaluations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with community partners and public audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage Title III-D health promotion and disease prevention programs to meet Older Americans Act requirements.
• Develop and interpret program standards, procedures, and service requirements.
• Review and update health promotion policies and standards to align with objectives.
• Evaluate statewide data to identify underserved populations and inform planning.
• Analyze quarterly program reports and monitor performance trends.
• Coordinate provider monitoring and quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with Area Agencies on Aging and partners to support program delivery.
• Provide technical assistance regarding program requirements and service delivery.
