Job summary

Cano Health is seeking a Wellness Program Coordinator to design and deliver daily wellness activities at the Wellness Center, including music, educational courses, nutrition, and fitness activities for a Senior Population. You will welcome members, manage a busy activity calendar and ensure safety and enjoyment of all participants.

The role requires strong planning, bilingual English/Spanish communication, and the ability to coordinate with local senior centers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
• 1–3 years’ experience in recreation, physical fitness facility, country club or customer service.
• BLS Certification is required; CPR/AED certification required.
• First Aid training and CPR/AED certification required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Plan, and lead activities and programs that enrich the lives of Cano Health patients.
• Create structured curriculums designed to engage Cano Health patients in health, wellness and social activities.
• Greet and interact with members and/or visitors as they enter and exit the wellness center.
• Maintain a calendar of activities and events to provide a positive, fun-filled experience.
• Keep accurate attendance in eCW for all patients.
• Educate and enforce fitness center rules and regulations.
• Ensure each patient signs the fitness center waiver, if applicable.
• Perform set-up and clean-up for each activity, including equipment.
• Develop relationships with local senior centers and health plans.
• Notify manager and facilities of incidents or repairs within 24 hours.
• Communicate hours and promote class participation to patients.
• Arrange transportation for patients attending the Wellness Center as needed.
• Maintain inventory of items needed at the Wellness Center.
• Follow safety, policies and procedures.
