Job summary

New Communities is recruiting an Activities Coordinator to support Pinewood Terrace, a 32-bed Assisted Living facility in Maine. The role focuses on coordinating wellness programs and participating in resident assessments to help set personal goals.

The position is full-time, typically daytime hours on weekdays, with some weekend coverage. Benefits include training, health and retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement to support growth in senior care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Activities Coordinator Certificate and 40-hour CRMA preferred.
• Three years experience working with the disabled/elderly population preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduled, coordinated, and implemented wellness programs for residents.
• Participate in the resident assessment process and develop resident goals.
• Maintain a balance of wellness activities across physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, and vocational aspects.
