Job summary

New Communities, Inc. in Maine seeks an Activities Coordinator to organize wellness programs for residents at Pinewood Terrace.

You will participate in assessments and help set resident goals, promoting a caring, inclusive atmosphere that enhances quality of life for seniors. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active Driver's License.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Activities Coordinator Certificate and 40-hour CRMA preferred.
• Three years experience working with the disabled/elderly population preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate wellness programs and activities for residents.
• Participate in the resident assessment process and help develop resident goals.

Activities Coordinator Job

An hourly direct care staff position that ensures that residents, if they so desire, participate in scheduled, coordinated, and implemented wellness programs. This position requires active participation in the resident assessment process and work on the development of resident goals. The Activities Coordinator will maintain a balance of wellness activities that enrich the physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, and vocational aspects of all residents. This position requires flexibility in the work schedule, but it is generally a day shift schedule.

The schedule is full-time, 40 hours Monday through Friday day-time hours with an occasional weekend day. The pay range is from $16.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience and certifications.
