Job summary

The role demands strong ASME knowledge, QA/QC practices, and the ability to manage supplier quality across field and office environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in welding engineering or related field with 7+ years in quality control or industrial construction/equipment manufacturing.
• Or an associate degree in welding technology with 9+ years in quality control/industrial construction and/or equipment manufacturing.
• Or a high school diploma with 11+ years in quality control in industrial construction and welding/NDE experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and approval of WPS/PQR, NDE procedures, and ITPs to meet contract requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, piping and other engineers on special process documents.
• Review supplier welding procedures and material test reports to ASME IX requirements.
• Respond to technical inquiries and provide subject matter expertise as needed.
• Develop and implement SSPs and ITPs and support budget estimation for submittals.
• Lead pre-inspection meetings and validate inspection logs and schedules.
• Mentor supplier quality team and drive continuous improvement in QC processes.
