Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to serve as the welding quality authority across projects. Lead welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Inspectors, and approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications while coordinating with engineers, owners, and officials.

Ideal candidates hold AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership in welding inspection, with strong code knowledge and experience drafting quality programs for structural or pipe projects.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Strong knowledge of D1.1, D1.5, D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• NDT Level II or III in at least one method preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Review reports and calibrate inspection calls; approve qualification packages.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; qualify NDT subcontractors.
• Resolve disputed indications with engineers of record; represent company in welding reviews.
