Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs across projects. You will supervise CWIs and inspectors, review procedures and qualifications, and audit fabricators and erectors’ welding quality systems.

You will communicate with engineers of record, owners, and officials on welding matters and mentor staff. The role requires AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of leadership, strong code knowledge, and the ability to secure consistent

Qualifications

AWS SCWI or CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
Proven ability to supervise CWIs and inspectors and communicate with engineers and officials.
Ability to audit fabricators and resolve disputed indications.

Responsibilities

Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
Review reports and calibrate calls.
Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
Represent the company in welding quality reviews.
Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
