Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Staff Welding Engineer to lead welding quality, process development and production-floor execution for process piping and related hardware. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and qualify welding procedures, support fabrication, coordinate inspections, and ensure ASME and AWS standards compliance.

The role requires extensive hands-on expertise in GTAW, GMAW and FCAW, with a strong background in pressure-retaining systems and welding

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
At least five years of welding engineering experience in aerospace/defense/industrial OEM/heavy equipment sectors.
Direct experience applying ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1.
Experience developing, qualifying or controlling WPS and PQR documentation.
Knowledge of GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG and FCAW welding processes.
Understanding of weld metallurgy, heat-affected zones and distortion control.

Responsibilities

Develop, qualify and optimise welding procedure specifications for GTAW, GMAW and FCAW.
Support welding of stainless steel, carbon steel and high-temperature alloys.
Own welding processes for pressure-retaining piping and related hardware.
Review drawings, joint designs and weld symbols for manufacturability.
Coordinate non-destructive testing including visual, penetrant, magnetic-particle and radiographic testing.
