Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer to lead and maintain field welding programs for a 1.3 GW power facility in Millersport, OH. You will manage the welding lab, heat treatment, and quality plans, ensuring compliance with AWS/API/NFPA/ASTM standards and project specifications.

You will coordinate NDE, maintain welding documentation, and perform field inspections to prevent defects before final inspection.

Qualifications

• NDE certifications (VT, PT, MT) and welding experience.
• Deep knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW welding processes.
• Experience leading welding programs on large industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, implement, and maintain global field welding programs on the project.
• Manage welding test lab, rod room, heat treatment program and quality plan.
• Coordinate NDE and welding documentation to meet codes and Bechtel standards.
• Perform field welding inspections and advise on rectification of defects.
