Job summary

Ibarra Group LLC in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. You will weld, fabricate, install and repair steel components according to blueprints and shop drawings.

You will manage multiple projects, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with a skilled crew. 3+ years’ welding/fabrication experience and ability to read plans are essential; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding/fabrication experience required.
• Proficiency reading blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience fabricating steel stairs, handrails, structural steel, and fencing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and welding troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using specialized equipment to weld and assemble metal structures.
• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products to specification.
• Install and repair equipment and structural components.
• Read and follow blueprints and shop drawings to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements and verify specifications for accuracy.
• Conduct weld quality tests to evaluate tolerance and integrity.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple projects.
