Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Iron Worker or in a related role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in construction environments.
• Ability to operate cranes and direct crane operations safely.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and shape structural steel and sheet metal per blueprints and specs.
• Interpret plans to install steel, reinforce concrete, and erect frames.
• Weld, cut, and modify metal components as required.
• Direct crane movements to move steel materials on site.
• Ensure alignment of columns, beams, and girders during installation.
• Secure steel bars to reinforce concrete structures and ensure stability.
• Collaborate with team to solve construction challenges.
• Inspect and repair older metal infrastructure as needed.
• Use plumb bobs, laser tools to ensure accurate alignment.
• Adhere to safety protocols throughout construction tasks.
• Assist in installing stairs, handrails, and curtain walls; check workmanship.
