Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing in New Hampshire is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and weld a variety of metals for large, precision components used in defense manufacturing.

You will interpret blueprints, perform welding using TIG, MIG, and stick, and mentor junior welders in a safety-conscious, quality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of military and AWS workmanship requirements.
• Deep blueprint reading including weld symbols and datums.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and weld symbols to produce fixtures and weldments.
• Knowledge of NDT concepts and qualification tests.
• Ability to train lower level welders.

Responsibilities

• Welds and fabricates metal parts from sheet to heavy plate using TIG, MIG, stick and brazing as required.
• Interprets blueprints, weld symbols, and machining requirements to weld and create fixtures.
• Collaborates with manufacturing, quality control, and engineering to resolve weldment issues.
• Trains and mentors junior welders.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and adheres to GSM policies.
