Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Sr. Lead Weight Engineer within the Energy Management & Aero-Thermal (EMAT) team. You will mentor junior engineers, participate in standards development, and lead top-down weight estimates for vehicle variants while coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

You will analyze data, prepare presentations for senior leadership, and guide weight reduction opportunities from concept to SOP, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with senior leadership through both written and verbal means.
• Proficiency in creating presentation materials and explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Train, lead, and mentor junior team members.
• Support the creation of training materials.
• Develop weight estimates and scorecards (GVWR, GAWR, Payload, Towing).
• Coordinate weight reduction opportunities with cross-functional teams.
• Validate prototype vehicle weights and transition reporting post-launch.
