Job summary

Stellantis Energy Management & Aero-Thermal (EMAT) seeks a Sr. Lead Weight Engineer in Michigan to drive weight management across programs, mentor juniors, and collaborate on weight budgets and vehicle performance targets.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 8+ years in automotive engineering, with leadership and data-analysis skills to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years automotive engineering experience.
• Experience in at least two full program lifecycles.
• Strong ability to present to senior leadership and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Train, lead, and mentor junior team members.
• Develop capability and weight scorecards and top-down estimates.
• Collaborate with Brand & Planning on EPA option weight budgets.
• Lead BOM validation and improve weight reporting fidelity.
• Coordinate component weighing at suppliers and plants.
