Job summary

The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art seeks a Manager, Alumni Affairs and Individual Giving to execute alumni engagement and annual giving communications across direct mail, email, digital, and SMS channels. Working with internal teams and external consultants, you will drive coordinated campaigns and data-informed outreach to increase participation and donor retention.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in alumni affairs, fundraising, communications, teaching, or nonprofit administration.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple timelines and priorities.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading for donor and alumni communications.
• Experience supporting campaign execution across email, digital, and/or direct mail channels.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and data coordination.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Implement multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email, digital, and social media; manage production timelines.
• Track performance and support reporting on participation and revenue outcomes.
• Provide project management support for Giving Tuesday, Giving Day, and other priority campaigns.
• Draft, edit, and deploy alumni-facing communications aligned with priorities.
• Support planning and execution of reunion class campaigns and volunteer outreach.
• Coordinate data pulls, segmentation, and campaign tracking with Slate and Tableau.
• Support alumni and fundraising events, including All Cooper Weekend, with occasional evenings and weekends.
