Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Senior Web Tagging & Analytics Analyst to implement and maintain web tagging and analytics across its digital properties. You will ensure accurate data collection to support analytics, marketing optimization, and business decisions.

You will work with Product and Engineering to deploy tracking, manage Tealium/GTM tags, and QA tag implementations. The role emphasizes data quality, compliance with consent requirements, and collaboration with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with tag management systems such as Tealium or Google Tag Manager.
• Experience writing SQL queries and performing quantitative analysis.
• Strong ability to read and write JavaScript within tag management tools.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools, Tealium Debugger, Adswerve Data Layer Inspector, or similar.
• Proven experience administering Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support, document, maintain, and extend the digital analytics tagging infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deploy and maintain accurate website tracking through the implementation and configuration of web tags.
• Develop, implement, and maintain vendor and agency tags in Tealium.
• Lead tagging QA and validation, including pre- and post-release testing.
• Monitor tagging health and data quality through ongoing validation, audits, and troubleshooting.
