Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a Senior Analytics & Identity Engineer to join our North America squad. You will lead web/app telemetry instrumentation and tag management, ensuring end-to-end data trust in client environments.

Expect hands-on work auditing implementations, decommissioning legacy tags, and building real-time verification workflows. You will collaborate with web architects to optimize edge tagging and attribution, while improving performance by simplifying complex tag containers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering focusing on web/app analytics instrumentation, tag management, or telemetry tracking.
• Strong command of client-side data layer design and tag rules.
• Expertise with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA).

Responsibilities

• Audit and clean up double-tracked SDK implementations and legacy tags.
• Configure server-side event forwarding for telemetry into profile platforms.
• Build real-time analytics verification to resolve metric differences between frontend trackers and data lakes.
• Re-architect and simplify tag containers to improve page performance.
• Collaborate with frontend and journey architects on edge-based tagging and attribution.
