Job summary

Tailscale in the United States seeks a Senior Web Experimentation Manager to own the experimentation program across our highest-traffic pages, including the homepage, pricing, and paid landing pages. You will set the roadmap, test standards, and decision rules, and you’ll design and ship the most consequential tests yourself.

You will collaborate with web strategy, development, design, product marketing, and analytics, coaching others and ensuring results are credible and actionable to shape

Qualifications

• 6–9 years in conversion optimization, web experimentation, growth marketing, or related field with multi-page ownership.
• Deep experience with a testing platform (Optimizely, VWO) including governance.
• Strong command of experiment statistics, power, sample size, and guardrail metrics.
• Ability to evaluate test design and explain results clearly.
• Comfort with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for client-side variations.

Responsibilities

• Own the experimentation roadmap and prioritize ideas by traffic, impact, and cost.
• Set and maintain test standards: sizing, power, MDE, guardrails, shipping rules.
• Review test designs and results before launch/share.
• Design, build, and run high-stakes experiments, esp. pricing and homepage.
• Maintain tracking platform health and reconcile with analytics data.
• Maintain the experiment record and translate results into strategy.
• Report results to marketing leadership and outline next tests.
• Coach others on hypothesis quality, design, and interpretation.
