Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin School of Law seeks a Senior Software Developer/Analyst to design, develop, test, and maintain websites and software applications across the full development stack, with emphasis on WordPress. You will work across front-end and back-end components, applying secure coding practices and collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years web or related software development experience.
• Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices.
• Advanced experience with PHP and JavaScript.
• Experience with WordPress custom theme and plugin development.
• Practical knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains responsive websites and applications across front-end and back-end while collaborating with web team, communications, and stakeholders.
• Develops and maintains WordPress Multisite installation, including custom Site Editor themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, keeping core/plugins current and secure.
• Fields incoming website-related help requests, troubleshoots issues, and connects requesters with solutions.
• Stays current on standards and trends in web development and actively pursues new skills.
• Other related responsibilities, functions, and projects as assigned.
