Job summary

Texas A&M Agrilife Research is seeking a Web Applications Developer II focused on WordPress and full-stack development. The role supports public-facing websites and web applications, building themes, plugins, blocks, and integrations while upholding accessibility and performance standards.

You will collaborate with designers, content managers, and stakeholders to modernize and maintain digital platforms across the organization, with emphasis on secure, scalable WordPress development and API

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of web applications development experience with focus on WordPress and web development.

Responsibilities

• Review WordPress documentation and code to resolve issues and identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot complex WordPress and web app problems, including theme/plugin conflicts.
• Participate in design of web solutions, including databases and APIs.
• Evaluate plugins, themes, and tools for security, accessibility, performance.
• Assist with project plans, milestones, and technical requirements.
• Develop and test WordPress sites and web applications per standards.
