Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Web Developer/Webmaster to design, develop, administer, and support the NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) public website and intranets. This is a full-time position.

The role covers content management, web architecture, Drupal implementation, Google intranet sites, accessibility compliance, and collaboration with NOAA stakeholders to deliver secure, usable web experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development, website administration, or webmaster responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, IT, software engineering, information systems, digital media, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Drupal or another enterprise CMS; proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Experience with technologies including AngularJS, ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, Java, J2EE, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or Google Sites.
• Knowledge of 508 accessibility, cross-browser testing, web security, version control, change management, release management, QA, and web analytics.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into usable, accessible, secure solutions and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; experience with federal government/NOAA preferred; US citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as webmaster for the public website and intranet sites, overseeing structure, content, functionality, and daily administration.
• Collaborate with offices and stakeholders to identify, gather, analyze, and prioritize web requirements.
• Design, develop, update, and maintain websites using Drupal and approved modules, themes, and integrations.
• Develop Google intranet sites with navigation, permissions, and collaboration features.
• Ensure responsive, accessible, and secure web experiences across platforms.
• Perform testing (unit, functional, cross-browser, Section 508) and coordinate user testing.
• Provide technical support and documentation for public sites, intranets, and applications.
• Maintain documentation for deployment, configurations, and change-management.
• Follow NOAA IT policies and Agile/CMMI processes.
